The 2 p.m. problem
Most offices have coffee covered. Food is another story. Someone skips lunch for a deadline or the afternoon runs long, and the choice is a drive somewhere or a vending machine nobody has filled in months. We'd like to be that second option, done right.
Convenience adds up. At a repair shop we stock, people used to cross the street for the same drinks and snacks every day; now those are a few feet from where they work, and the shop says it saves them real time.
A machine down the hall also retires the snack closet. No one has to shop for it on the weekend, guess what people want, or keep a cash jar honest.
Office vending machine or smart fridge?
For most offices it comes down to snacks or meals. The combo machine covers snacks and cold drinks in one footprint, with a touchscreen up front. The smart fridge and freezer add lunch: frozen chicken sandwiches are one of our steadiest sellers, and with a microwave nearby that's a hot meal in a few minutes. People tap or scan to unlock it, take what they want, and it charges them for what they took.
If you have the room, the two work well side by side. We'll suggest one when we see the space, or you can compare them here.
What office crowds buy
Across our machines, cold drinks sell the most: Coke, Sprite and Arizona, then energy drinks. Small bags of chips move too. Every office is a little different, though, so every machine has a QR code where people can suggest an item or vote for one already on the list. We stock the most popular picks.
Priced like the corner store, not the airport
We don't price like people are a captive audience. What's inside costs about what you'd pay at a convenience store, often less. People notice when a soda costs twice what it should, and they stop using the machine.
A local vending company
Onus Vending is Paul and Teddy, two brothers who left the 9-to-5 to build this ourselves. We fill and service our own machines, so when something's wrong, you're talking to the people who fix it. If your company also runs a warehouse or a shop, see vending for warehouses and factories.
