An amenity with no budget line
Pools and package lockers cost money. A stocked machine doesn't. We buy it, install it, fill it and repair it, and residents get something they'll use on a Tuesday night when the nearest store is a drive away. It's also one more thing to point out on a tour.
Clubhouse, mail room or fitness center?
The best spot is the one residents already walk past. Mail rooms work well because nearly everyone stops there, and a 24-hour mail room means a 24-hour machine. Clubhouses and lounges suit a smart fridge, since people linger there. If your fitness center is busy, it's worth a look too; see what we put in gyms.
Apartment vending: smart fridge or classic machine?
A smart fridge and freezer works like a small corner store. Residents tap or scan to unlock it, grab a frozen meal or a cold drink, and it charges them for what they took. The combo machine is the classic: chips, candy, sodas and energy drinks in a smaller footprint, paid by card, phone wallet or cash. Compare the two.
Stocked by your residents
Residents can scan the QR code on the machine to request items or vote for ones on the list, so the lineup follows what your community buys, not a generic list. We're Paul and Teddy, two brothers who started Onus to run it our way, and putting people first is how we run our apartment vending service in Atlanta, South Fulton and the rest of Fulton County.
Your leasing office stays out of it
When a machine takes someone's money, the report comes straight to us through the machine, and we make it right. No one calls the leasing office about a lost dollar. Mixed-use properties with offices downstairs work the same way; see office vending.
