Why we started
Paul is a software engineer by trade. We both wanted out of the 9-to-5 and into something we control. Vending made sense: you own the machine, you work with your hands, and you serve the same people every week. There's nothing like owning what you work on. And we saw a simple way to make people's workday a little easier.
How we help
At the repair shop we stock, the crew used to walk across the street for their usual drinks and snacks. Now those same favorites are a few feet away, and they've told us it saves them time every day.
At the warehouse, the nearest restaurant is 15 minutes away and lunch is 30. Forget your lunch and the whole break goes to driving. Delivery doesn't really fix it: on a single order, the app fees can cost almost as much as the food unless a group orders together.
So we bring the food to them. Along with classic vending machines, we run smart fridges and freezers that hold what a regular machine can't, like frozen meals. If a site eats it, we keep stocking it.
People first
Every location has different people with different tastes, so every machine has a QR code where they can request items and vote. We stock what they ask for, not what's easiest for us. Our best sellers right now are Coke, Sprite, Arizona and energy drinks, and at the warehouse it's Monster, Red Bull and, to our surprise, muffins.
Our prices
Plenty of machines charge whatever they can, because people are stuck with them. We don't. Money is tight for a lot of people right now, so we price at or below what you'd pay at a convenience store. Nobody should pay a penalty for buying a drink at work.
How we run things
- Free to the location. We don't sell machines. We buy, deliver, install, stock and repair our own. No lease, no fee, no minimum sales.
- Restocked about twice a week, and once a week around holidays.
- Problems come to us. Refunds and repairs go through the QR code, not your staff.
Where you'll find us
Our machines are in a warehouse and a repair shop in the Atlanta area, and we're looking for the next ones. See how it works for offices, warehouses and factories, apartments, hotels and gyms.
